Naples – According to investigators, the person who opened fire on Emanuele Durante on the evening of March 15th was Alexandr Babalyan , born in the Astrakhan region of Russia on November 21st 1999 but resident in the Sanità area and with years of ties to the Sequino clan.
His name, like that of the instigator and organizer Salvatore Pellecchia , 31, known as “Dudù”, appears in the over 200 pages of the precautionary order signed by the investigating judge Federica Colucci of the Eighth Section of the Court of Naples with which light is shed on the murder of the 20-year-old.
The murder was carried out as revenge for the death of 15-year-old Emanuele Tufano, which occurred on the night of 24 October 2024 in the Rettifilo area during a firefight between a group of 12 young Camorristi from the Sanità district and those from the Mercato neighbourhood.
Pellecchia is the son of the boss Silvio, who is the brother of Pellecchia Maria Grazia, that is, the
mother of Tufano Emanuele. By virtue of this blood bond, Pellecchia Salvatore and the deceased Tufano Emanuele they are therefore first cousins.
There is a third suspect: Vincenzo Brandi , 31, married to Emanuele Tufano's half-sister. Tufano is said to have been conducting reconnaissance on his scooter before Emanuele Durante's murder. The person riding the scooter when Alexandr o' Polonia (although Russian) opened fire on Via Santa Teresa degli Scalzi has not been identified.
All the stages of the murder preparation, including the execution and escape, were captured by numerous public and private security cameras located throughout the crime scene. Subsequently, the Carabinieri conducted wiretaps on dozens of relatives of both the victim and the suspects, further fueling the accusation.
The investigations revealed that the murders of Emanuele Tufano and Emanuele Durante are connected. In fact, on the night of the 15-year-old's murder, Emanuele Durante was riding one of the six scooters that left from the Sanità district to challenge and teach a lesson to those in Piazza Mercato.
With him was a certain Mattia B. , armed with a pistol, who, according to investigators, took part in the firefight on the night of October 24. Internal investigations within the Sequino clan revealed that all the boys who had left from the Sanità neighborhood had accused Emanuele Durante of leading them into a sort of ambush during which 15-year-old Emanuele Tufano lost his life.
But the bullet that killed him had certainly come from the gun of one of his friends. All those summoned and questioned by Salvatore Pellecchia did not know or would not say from which weapon the fatal shot came.

The investigations also revealed a strong climate of silence and attempts to mislead the investigation, but also the awareness that everyone knew everything, including Emanuele Durante's parents, who were separated, and then his girlfriend herself, who immediately after the murder had indicated the killer's name as Alexadr o' Polska and then explained to investigators that she had seen nothing.
