Naples – The Campania Region Civil Protection has issued a yellow level weather alert for rain and thunderstorms, valid from midnight to 14:23 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, May XNUMX.
The most affected areas will be the central-northern sectors, in particular Piana Campana, Naples, Islands, Vesuvian Area, Alto Volturno, Matese, Sorrento-Amalfi Peninsula, Monti di Sarno and Monti Picentini.
Severe and sudden thunderstorms are expected, accompanied by possible hail, lightning and gusts of wind, with precipitation characterized by rapid evolution and forecast uncertainty.
Civil Protection invites Municipalities to activate Municipal Operations Centers, monitor public green areas and adopt all measures provided for by civil protection plans to prevent and mitigate risks.
The yellow weather alert is very important, but I don't understand why storms always have to come suddenly. They should make more precise forecasts, so people can better prepare for adverse situations.
