The survey conducted by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of Castello di Cisterna revealed the existence of two distinct but interconnected criminal associations, both operating under the aegis of the powerful Mazzarella clan.

The operations focused on drug trafficking and extortion, leading to the identification of 28 people under investigation.
The investigation has brought to light the widespread organisation of a drug dealing hub for hard and soft drugs (cocaine, crack, kobret, hashish and marijuana) within the “Fiordaliso” Park in Via San Sossio in Somma Vesuviana. This business was run by By Bernardo Rosario (brother of the late Vincenzo “Pisello”, killed in a Camorra ambush in 2015), initially supported by DiCaprio Salvatore, called “Totore”, and later by Correale Clemente.
The Mazzarella Monopoly and the Directive from Prison
At the head of the entire structure, as emerges from the over 250 pages of the precautionary order signed by the investigating judge Leda Rossetti, and guarantor of the substantial monopoly on the area was Michael Mazzarella, head of the clan of the same name, currently detained in the Syracuse prison.
The investigations revealed that Mazzarella not only authorized the activity, but also received weekly payments for the support of the clan and its detained members. His control also extended to the supply of narcotics, managed by his most loyal followers such as Di Caprio Salvatore and his right-hand man Civita Fabio, and later by Annunziata Fabio, known as “Masaniello”, after Di Caprio's arrest.
Following Di Caprio's arrest, De Bernardo Rosario reorganized the association, obtaining the approval of Mazzarella Michele, through a long video call, for a joint management of the group with Correale Clemente. In this way, the activity of dealing cocaine, crack and kobret continued incessantly, with the collaboration of his nephew From Bernardo Roberto for hashish and marijuana.
Several buyers have been identified, including D'Atri Anna, Natella Michele, Bova Rosa, Lanzone Salvatore and Martiniello Carmine, called "o' Cavallaro", in turn drug dealers and leaders of other drug dealing areas within the Parco Fiordaliso. One of these, managed directly by Correale Clemente with the help of the pushers Scurti Francesco, Baia Antonio and Buonocore Ferdinando, was regularly supplied by the gang or paid a weekly bribe of around 400-500 euros.
The Anastasio clan: drug dealing, extortion and “direct line” with Mazzarella
The investigation also revealed the existence of a second Camorra association, always under the influence of the Mazzarella clan, led by Anastasio Raffaele, known as “Felice”. With the approval of Michele Mazzarella, with whom he boasts a “direct line” (as emerged from wiretaps: “Did Scorpio [aka Giannetti Salvatore] speak to Michele? No, because we keep a direct line…”), Anastasio exercises constant control over the territory of the Municipality of Sant'Anastasia.
The activities of the Anastasio clan include the management of a significant drug trafficking network, extortion against numerous local merchants and entrepreneurs, and financial and legal assistance to detained members.
The alliance between the “Anastasio” and “De Bernardo” groups under the aegis of the Mazzarellas clearly emerged from a summit held on 6 February 2024 in the home of De Bernardo Rosario, subject to environmental monitoring. During the meeting, to resolve a problem that arose in relation to a drug dealing square supplied by the “Anastasio” but managed by Lanzone Alessandro, resident in the De Bernardo stronghold, Anastasio Raffaele highlighted the criminal alliance, defining the Mazzarellas as “the Family” and “our brothers”.
The top-down structure and the power of intimidation
The investigation reconstructed a complex Camorra association structure, which extends from the possession and sale of drugs and weapons to the association aimed at drug trafficking and the Camorra association led by Anastasio Raffaele.
The criminal caliber of Anastasio “Felice” and his men also emerges from the fact that citizens turn to them to resolve personal problems, as demonstrated by an environmental recording from May 22, 2024 in which a relative asked for help with a sentimental dispute.
Il Anastasius clan It is described as a historical and consolidated organization, with a power of intimidation rooted in the territory of Sant'Anastasia, also deriving from the membership of its top exponents (Anastasio Aniello, detained in Milan) and long-term affiliates already convicted of Camorra association.
The structure is hierarchically organized, with each member aware of his role and respectful of hierarchies. The group is also dedicated, unlike that of Somma, to extortion.
The undoubted charisma of Anastasio Raffaele “Felice” and his apical role in the clan clearly emerged in the summit with the De Bernardos, where he reiterated his contact with Mazzarella and established that Lanzone Alessandro, working for his group, should be exempt from extortion requests. Esposito Salvatore “Cioccolata” and Di Cicco Clemente carry out the boss's directives, as demonstrated by wiretaps and a “kiss on the mouth” between the affiliates, a typical gesture in Camorra contexts.
