Extraordinary checks at the airport Capodichino to combat the phenomenon of illegal public transport.
Yesterday afternoon, the State Police – with the Secondigliano Police Station and the Air Border Police – coordinated an inter-force service with the Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza and Municipal Police, also involving the Airport and Tourist Police units.
During the operation, 102 people were identified and 90 vehicles were checked: three were subjected to administrative detention and one was seized.
Thirteen violations of the Highway Code were contested, for abusive NCC activity, failure to issue a receipt, driving without a seatbelt and picking up customers outside the permitted limits. The offenders were reported to the competent office of the Municipality of Naples.
During the activity, an unlicensed street vendor was also fined.
