Caserta – They attempted to steal fuel from a vehicle parked on private property and attacked the officers who intervened: the State Police operation in the San Clemente area ended with two arrests.
The events occurred during the night, after a report to 113 indicating two men intent on stealing diesel from a vehicle. The Flying Squad officers reached the area, searching the thick vegetation until they identified the suspects, two Romanian citizens aged 35 and 49.
At the sight of the officers, the two attempted to escape, then reacted violently by hitting the copsIn the physical confrontation, one officer suffered a broken wrist, while others suffered bruises.
The car used by the criminals was also found on site, containing burglary tools, a switchblade and a hydraulic jack.
Both with previous convictions for crimes against the person and property, the two arrested were subjected to a direct trial at the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere. The judge ordered the precautionary measure of house arrest for them.

It is unbelievable how people can steal fuel from a car parked on private property. Violence against law enforcement is unacceptable and this behavior must be stopped to protect the community.
