Salerno - The President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, commented in Salerno on the condemnation of Italy by the European Court of Human Rights for having violated the right to respect for the private life of 151 citizens who appealed to Strasbourg in 2018 for the damages suffered due to the Pisano Foundries.
“It is a fair measure that penalizes those who have not carried out the necessary checks and also those, I am referring to entrepreneurs, who have not had the respect for the environment that is necessary when managing an economic activity”.
And then he also added: “In the end the problem arose from this: lack of adequate investments to also guarantee non-polluting industrial activities”.

I find that the words of President De Luca are important to understand that there are responsibilities of those who manage the foundries. But also citizens must be more aware of their rights and obligations.
I agree with what is written above, but I think that more concrete measures are needed to avoid similar situations in the future, otherwise people's rights will continue to be trampled upon without justice.
