Naples – A night of terror that just passed in Ponticelli. Around 23:20 pm yesterday evening, the police intervened in via Flauto Magico following a report of gunshots in the street.

The victim was identified as Antonio De Cristofaro, a 26-year-old man already known to the police for several criminal records. When police arrived on the scene, they found the boy in serious condition due to the injuries he had sustained.
Immediately rushed to the Villa Betania hospital, De Cristofaro unfortunately died shortly after his arrival due to the seriousness of the injuries he suffered.
The public prosecutor on duty has ordered the seizure of the body for an autopsy, which may provide useful information for the investigation. An investigation has been opened into the case, conducted jointly by the Flying Squad of the Naples Police Headquarters and the local police station, in order to reconstruct the dynamics of the ambush, identify the person or persons responsible and ascertain the motive for this latest episode of violence in the eastern suburbs of Naples.

It is truly sad what happened to Ponticelli, especially for such a young person. The police must do more to prevent similar episodes, because violence is increasing and it is scary.
