A new precautionary measure against a 28-year-old from Castellammare di Stabia, with a criminal record for property crimes, was served this morning in the Poggioreale prison in Naples, where he was already being held for another proceeding.

The man is accused of having committed three thefts of Honda SH scooters which took place on 11, 13 and 16 August 2024 between Meta and Piano di Sorrento.

The investigations, coordinated by the Torre Annunziata Public Prosecutor's Office and conducted by the Carabinieri of Piano di Sorrento, led to the identification of the alleged perpetrator thanks to the analysis of video surveillance systems.

Also decisive was the arrest in flagrante delicto, on the very day of Ferragosto, by the military of Vico Equense for a further theft, which allowed him to be identified with certainty and linked to the other episodes. The 28-year-old now remains in pre-trial detention in Poggioreale.

It's really strange how this guy is always stealing and yet he continues to be in prison. The police should do more to stop him, he is a problem for the community. It is not clear why he was not stopped before.
