“As you know, something bad happened to me last night, but now I'm fine, my finger only hurts a little but everything is ok. Thank you for the affection you have shown me”. This is how Luca di Steano, with his right hand bandaged, dealt with the wounding caused by gunshots by two bandits who then managed to escape.
The police are investigating the incident and are examining the images from the cameras after hearing the complaint and the story from the injured businessman.
Last month a thief had broken into the restaurant at night after breaking the stained glass with a hammer as a bricklayer and took a few euros from the cash register. Luca Di Stefano had published the video of the thief in action, urging him to go to work.
The break-in shortly after 23pm last night
Shortly after 23pm last night, two men with their faces covered burst into the premises and one of them fired several shots, grazing the owner, Luca Di Stefano, 36, in the left hand.
The man, known on TikTok for his videos and songs in Neapolitan dialect - including the song "Ma quale dieta", which became a viral anthem during the 2020 European Football Championship - was immediately rescued and taken to hospital in Aversa.
Di Stefano told investigators that the action lasted a few seconds and that he had not received any threats in the previous days. Investigators are not ruling out any leads.

The episode is very worrying, but it is good that Luca di Stefano is fine. It is strange how there are so many thefts and violence these days, I hope that the police can find the culprits soon. Something must be done.
