A fatal accident paralyzed the A1 motorway this afternoon, leaving a man lifeless and chaos on the roads of Roma.
ìOn the A1 motorway, at kilometre 553 in the direction of Naples, a violent impact between two cars and a van caused a tragedy that no one could have foreseen. Rescue operations began immediately, with the Rome firefighters rushing to the scene to manage the disaster.
Firefighters pulled an injured person from the twisted metal, stabilizing him on site before an emergency transport to the hospital in red code via helicopter rescue.
Meanwhile, a man in his 50s – firefighters report – has been declared deceased. The entire highway has been closed in both directions, causing endless traffic jams and anger among motorists, while authorities work to restore order on what is already a dark day for traffic.
