Perugia – First the knife pointed at her neck, then a forced kiss in the same area, after being held tight around the waist.
This is what a young saleswoman of a commercial establishment in the Umbrian capital reported, the victim of a robbery last January 18th that netted the criminal just over 2.200 euros.
For that episode, the Carabinieri identified and notified a custodial order to a 33-year-old originally from Naples who was already detained in Poggioreale for another reason.
According to investigators coordinated by the Perugia Public Prosecutor's Office—led by Raffaele Cantone—the man allegedly entered the establishment during a quiet moment, positioned himself behind the counter, and threatened the employee with a knife.

After having her hand over the money from the cash register, he allegedly grabbed her and forcefully kissed her on the neck, which, according to the prosecution, also constitutes the crime of sexual assault.
Supporting the dispute is the jurisprudential interpretation according to which even a kiss imposed with violent methods can constitute sexual violence. The investigations of the Carabinieri, conducted with the assistance of the Radiomobile section and the RIS of Rome, have led to the collection of serious and consistent evidence, thanks also to surveillance camera footage, searches and photographic recognitions.
The investigating judge, recognizing the existence of serious evidence and the risk of repetition of the crime, issued the precautionary order with two charges: aggravated robbery and sexual violence. The suspect, who had previously resided in Perugia, is burdened by several previous convictions for property crimes.
