LACENO (AVELLINO) – The Laceno Plateau, the heart of Irpinia mountain tourism, has been caught in the eye of the storm due to serious irregularities on the labor front. The Guardia di Finanza discovered twelve workers employed without a contract or with irregular relationships within four structures including hotels and restaurants in the tourist district of Bagnoli Irpino.
The checks, conducted by the military of the Provincial Command of Avellino in synergy with the Tenenza di Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi, they brought to light a worrying situation: the employees were without salary, social security and welfare protections, in total violation of current legislation.

A hidden system that, even in an area dedicated to hospitality and tourism, confirms the need for surveillance and combating undeclared work. The Directorate of the Labor Inspectorate of Avellino was immediately asked to suspend the activities of the structures involved. The operation is part of a broader plan of controls aimed at guaranteeing legality and safety in the workplace, to protect workers' rights and fair competition in the tourism sector.

It is a very serious issue, that of irregular work, especially in places like Laceno where tourism is important. The authorities should do more checks to protect workers' rights and to ensure that the rules are respected. It is fundamental.
