In a dramatic collapse that has shocked the quiet town of Carmiano, in the province of LecceA building undergoing renovation suddenly collapsed, trapping four workers under a pile of rubble in what appeared to be a disaster waiting to happen due to poor safety controls.
The firefighters and the Carabinieri of the Campi Salentina company intervened on site with sirens blaring and extracted the four workers from the ruins, saving them from what could have been a death trap.
