Naples – An evening of celebration for football turned into a moment of tension and danger in Via Acton, Naples, where a 26-year-old TikToker, Michele Napolitano, with over 212 thousand followers, was arrested after attempting to break through a road barrier and attacking the Carabinieri.
The episode occurred while the city was preparing for the Napoli-Cagliari match, broadcast on the giant screens of the nearby Piazza del Plebiscito, already packed with fans. Napolitano, riding a scooter with two other people, attempted to force the blockade that marked the traffic area.
At the sight of the police, the 26-year-old abandoned his scooter and fled. While trying to evade capture, he tried to get rid of a weapon, throwing a revolver with a scratched serial number, loaded with 6 .38 special caliber bullets, into the Molosiglio gardens.
Two Carabinieri Injured in Brawl
Carabinieri from the Naples Central Company managed to subdue the young man with considerable difficulty. In the ensuing struggle, the officers sustained injuries with a seven-day prognosis. The TikTok user was immediately arrested, while the weapon was seized and will be subjected to ballistic tests to determine its provenance and any previous uses.
The episode highlights the risks to which law enforcement is exposed and the need to remain vigilant at events that attract large crowds.

It is truly astonishing how a night that was supposed to be a party turned so dangerous. Violence should not happen, especially in a sporting context where people gather to have fun and support their team.
