The extraordinary checks ordered by the Naples Police Headquarters to combat drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons continue unabated.
The State Police arrested a 41-year-old Neapolitan, already known to the police, for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.
The man was surprised by the Flying Squad agents inside his home. Noticing the presence of the police at the door, he tried to get rid of the drugs by throwing four packages out of the window.
The attempt was in vain: the officers stationed outside recovered the packages, which contained approximately 720 grams of cocaine. Inside the apartment, the police also found and seized 30.900 euros in cash, divided into banknotes of various denominations, believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity. The man was immediately arrested.
Yesterday, however, the Falcons of the Flying Squad, during a check in via Acton, stopped a suspicious car. On board was a 34-year-old woman, also from Naples, found in possession of six packages containing a total of six grams of cocaine and 165 euros in cash. She too was arrested.

This is a very worrying situation regarding drug trafficking in Naples. It is not clear how people can continue to do these illegal activities, endangering not only themselves but also others. More must be done to stop these crimes.
