A man was savagely attacked by a group of at least ten people on Via Cesario Console. The dramatic scene, filmed by witnesses, also shows the Navy Officers' Club refusing to provide assistance. Deputy Borrelli denounced the incident: "An unacceptable disgrace."
A new episode of gratuitous violence has bloodied the center of Naples. In via Cesario Console, a stone's throw from the seafront, a man was attacked by a gang of at least ten individuals who repeatedly hit him with their helmets, forcing him to flee in despair.
The victim, seeking refuge, attempted to take refuge in the Navy Officers' Club, but found the door slammed in his face.

The attack on Via Cesario Console
According to witnesses, who filmed the scene and sent the video to Avs MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli, the man was surrounded and beaten mercilessly. The images show the group chasing him as he tries to take cover, in vain, in front of the entrance to the Circolo della Marina.
The MP posted the video on his social media, calling the incident "a disgrace":
Violence is the refuge of failures. In Naples, we're witnessing a worrying decline: dangerous challenges, attacks, and a total lack of civic sense. An immediate response from the institutions is needed.
Borrelli appealed to law enforcement: "We demand more enforcement and zero tolerance. We cannot allow the city to be left at the mercy of those who act out of boredom or cruelty."
The episode reignites the debate on security in Naples, where cases of gang violence have multiplied in recent months. Criticism also focuses on the lack of intervention by the Circolo della Marina, which has been silent so far.
