An evening that was supposed to be one of consolidation turned into a nightmare for Antonio Conte's Napoli. At the "Maradona", in the penultimate home game, it ended 2-2 against a courageous and cynical Genoa, capable of coming back twice and freezing the Neapolitan crowd a few minutes from the end. A draw that weighs like a defeat, because Inter, winner in Turin, now moves to just one point away in the race for the Scudetto.
Napoli had started well, taking the lead in the 15th minute with a strike from the usual Romelu Lukaku. But Genoa never gave up: in the 32nd minute the equalizer came with a header from Ahanor, unfortunately deflected into his own net by Meret. In the second half Raspadori gave the fans hope with a feat in the 64th minute, but the illusion did not last long. In the 84th minute, Vasquez signed the definitive 2-2, silencing the stadium and igniting the Nerazzurri's hopes.
In the standings, the Azzurri remain in command with 78 points, but the margin has narrowed dangerously. And now, with two days to go, any mistake could cost them the title. Conte will have to find certainties immediately: Inter is there, and has no intention of stopping.
