Naples – A wave of enthusiasm filled the Caracciolo seafront this afternoon, where thousands of fans gathered to celebrate Napoli's fourth Scudetto. "A great popular celebration," declared Mayor Gaetano Manfredi , welcomed to Mergellina along with the Azzurri team.
"We are here with immense joy and extraordinary popular participation. We want this to be the most beautiful, joyful and festive Naples, which loves its team and its city."
Just before the start of the tour of the players on open-top buses, the mayor expressed his pride: "I thank all the operators who made this event possible. Forza Napoli Calcio and Forza Napoli Città!". The party, a symbol of the union between sport and Neapolitan identity, transformed the seafront into a riot of colors and passion.
