Domestic violence in Nola: a 43-year-old man, already known to the police, was arrested by the State Police on charges of mistreatment in the family and personal injury.
The incident occurred on Friday, when officers from the Nola Police Station responded to a report of a domestic dispute received by the Operations Room.
Arriving quickly on the scene, the police were greeted by a woman who reported the break-in by her ex-partner.
The man reportedly climbed over the balcony of the house, broke a window and managed to enter the house, where the victim's mother and minor daughters were also present. Once inside, he allegedly kicked and punched the woman before running away.
The attacker was tracked down shortly after and arrested by the officers.
It is very sad to know that there are people who do this kind of things. Violence is never a solution and I hope that the victims can find help and support. It is important that society talks about these problems.
