Campi Flegrei, night of relative calm after the seismic swarm: two light tremors, monitoring and assistance continues.
After the day of intense seismic activity that shook the Campi Flegrei area, the night just passed was characterized by relative calm. The Vesuvius Observatory of the INGV recorded only two tremors of magnitude 1.0, which occurred at 4:52 and 5:39 respectively.
Meanwhile, yesterday evening, a new meeting of the Relief Coordination Center (Ccs) was held to take stock of the situation and assistance to the population. At the reception area set up in via Terracina in Naples, only one person showed up to request support.

At the Palatrincone in Pozzuoli, however, 21 people are currently being hosted, a number that could increase based on the results of the structural checks on the buildings being carried out by the Fire Brigade.
The fire brigade teams were particularly active, carrying out 19 interventions with the help of 28 teams, who continued to operate during the night to complete all the required checks on the reported buildings.
Also in Bacoli, the hub set up at the Gramsci School welcomed 4 people for the night, while no requests for assistance were registered at the designated areas in the Municipality of Monte di Procida.
The specialized technical staff of the Metropolitan City of Naples is carefully monitoring the Corbara Gallery, an important connection between Bacoli and Pozzuoli. In order to carry out more in-depth checks on its stability, the gallery will be closed to traffic during the night.
The Vesuvius Observatory confirmed that the seismic swarm is still ongoing, although with significantly reduced intensity compared to the previous day.
The Ccs activated at the Prefecture therefore continues to constantly monitor the evolution of the situation, ready to intervene in case of need and to provide support to the population affected. The priority remains the safety of citizens and the verification of the conditions of the buildings in the Phlegraean area.

It is important that people remain calm and follow the instructions of the authorities. Earthquakes can be frightening, but we must not be alarmed unnecessarily. Monitoring the situation is essential for everyone.
It is true that there were only two tremors, but it is always better to be prepared for any future developments. Safety first, let's hope the situation stabilizes soon.
A quiet night after a day of seismic activity suggests a possible break, but we must never let our guard down. It is good to continue monitoring and provide assistance to people in difficulty.
