Castellammare – The preliminary investigations judge of the Court of Naples, Dr. De Micco of the ninth section, has issued a sentence of conviction against nine people accused, in various capacities, of being part of a mafia-style criminal association operating in the Stabia area.

The group, known as the “Third System”, allegedly imposed protection money on local entrepreneurs and traders, operating from a logistics base in the Moscarella district of Castellammare of Stabia.

The penalties imposed are as follows:

Michael Honored: 12 years of imprisonment

Silverio Honorato: 10 years

Salvatore Scotognella: 10 years

Carmela Zurlo: 10 years

Giuseppina Concilio: 8 years

Pasquale Palma: 6 years

Renato Avitabile: 6 years

Michael Santarpia: 5 years and 4 months

Mary Honored: 4 years and 6 months

According to the prosecution, the criminal organization systematically exerted extortionate pressure, using methods that can be traced back to the Camorra clans historically active in the area.

It is interesting to see how the judiciary is addressing the problem of the mafia in the area. We hope that this is just the beginning of a long journey to free the community from these negative influences.

There are many things that are unclear about this case, especially the sentences that were given. I wonder if they are enough or if there is a need for more severe sentences to deter others from committing similar crimes.

The article talks about a sentence against a group of people accused of mafia, but I don't really understand how the legal system works in these cases. It is important that people know what happens in these situations so they don't get involved.
