Pompeii – Caught red-handed while stealing from a commercial business, a 40-year-old originally from the province of Salerno was arrested during the night by the State Police for aggravated theft.
The agents of the police station Pompei, during a patrol in via Plinio, they noticed the man suspiciously coming out from a hedge near a shop, with a bag in his hand.
Suspicious, the police stopped him after he tried to quickly run away. In the bag they found groceries that had just been stolen from the business, where the 40-year-old had cut the tarpaulin of the outdoor area with a sharp tool to get in.
The man was immediately arrested and placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities. Checks continue to ensure safety in the Pompeii territory.
