Pozzuoli – The batteries for the traffic lights installed on Via Pergolesi to regulate the one-way system, established after the damage to the church bell tower, were stolen.
The mayor of Pozzuoli, Luigi Manzoni, reported the episode in a post on social media:
“Unfortunately, the traffic light batteries were stolen last night. We are taking steps to replace them, but I cannot hide a deep sense of bitterness for an absurd gesture, committed while we are all busy managing the emergency.”
The traffic light device had been positioned just the day before to ensure road safety in the affected area.
