Naples – The big celebration for Napoli’s championship on Lungomare Caracciolo was also the scene of criminal episodes.
Yesterday afternoon, the State Police arrested two young men from Ercolano, aged 18 and 23, on charges of robbery and attempted extortion.
The intervention was triggered as part of the massive security device implemented by the Naples Police Headquarters for the celebrations. Agents from the Office of General Prevention and Public Aid intervened in via Giorgio Arcoleo after a report to the Operations Room. Here, personnel from the Naples Mobile Unit had already stopped the two alleged attackers.
Once on site, the operators identified the 18-year-old and the 23-year-old and reconstructed the dynamics of the events. Shortly before, the two had taken a man's necklace after violently pushing him, then attempting to escape.

Not satisfied, after having left, the suspects had again reached the victim, threatening her and demanding the sum of 400 euros for the return of the stolen goods.
The man, undaunted by the threats , immediately alerted the Mobile Unit police officers present in the area, who intervened and immediately arrested the two young men.
