A blow to crime in the heart of ScampiaThe State Police arrested a 22-year-old Neapolitan, caught in his home with a stolen gun and related ammunition.
The operation, conducted on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, is part of the extraordinary services arranged by the Naples Police Headquarters to combat the illegal possession of weapons and drug trafficking.
The officers of the Scampia and Secondigliano police stations, during a territorial control activity, searched the young man's apartment.
In addition to the stolen weapon, an OBD (on board diagnostic) device and two hex keys were seized. The 22-year-old was arrested for illegal possession of weapons and reported for receiving stolen goods and unjustified possession of altered keys or lock picks.
The operation confirms the commitment of the police forces in the protection of the sensitive areas of the city, with the aim of curbing criminal phenomena that threaten the safety of citizens.
