Sorrento – They are accused of the theft of a Vespa Piaggio 50 Special of significant historical value and a Honda SH 150 scooter, stolen last September 20 in the coastal municipalities of Meta and Sant'Agnello.
Three men – two of about 40 years old and a 37 year old – are the recipients of a custody order issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Torre Annunziata, executed by the Carabinieri of the Sorrento company.

The two forty-year-olds, already detained in the penitentiaries of Poggioreale and Salerno, were ordered to be held in prison, while the 37-year-old was ordered to remain in his municipality of residence.
The investigation, conducted by the police of the Piano di Sorrento station and coordinated by the Oplontina Prosecutor's Office, reconstructed the dynamics of the thefts, aggravated by the use of violence and the fact that the vehicles were left on the street, therefore exposed to public faith. The thieves allegedly forced the ignition lock to take possession first of the Vespa and then of the scooter.
The analysis of video surveillance images along the routes followed by the criminals, cross-referenced with law enforcement databases and the suspects' social media profiles, was crucial to identifying the perpetrators. The scooter and car used to reach the locations of the thefts were also identified.
