The conference was moderated by journalist Veronica Caprio and saw the participation of the Councilor for Sport of the Municipality of Naples, Dr. Emanuela Ferrante, and the organizers of the event, Rossella Montagna and Tommaso Conte.
Councilor Ferrante underlined the importance of initiatives such as the Sport Kids Festival:
“Once again, the Municipal Administration supports an initiative that considers sport a powerful tool for sharing, growth and well-being, in this case involving the whole family. Practicing physical activity together with your children creates precious opportunities to strengthen bonds, improve communication and transmit fundamental values such as perseverance, respect and collaboration. Dedicating yourself to sport together is a concrete way to take care of each other: every moment shared in sport is an investment in health, happiness and family unity. Promoting family well-being through sport also means educating about movement from an early age, counteracting a sedentary lifestyle and promoting healthy lifestyles. Together, it is easier to find motivation, overcome laziness and celebrate successes, whether small or large.”
Saturday 17th May: a day of sport and fun for everyone
Organized by ASD Sebs – Fiera dello Sport, the Sport Kids Festival will liven up the Lungomare di Napoli, transforming the Rotonda Diaz into a large sports village. From 9:00 to 18:00, children, teenagers and their families will be able to participate for free in numerous sports activities designed to promote play, inclusion and team spirit.
On the most beautiful seafront in the world, it will be possible to see and try out a wide range of sports disciplines for free: Running, Archery, Hockey, Taekwondo, Kickboxing, Aerial Dance, Sthenathlon, sports dance, Baskin, Volleyball, Rugby, Kung Fu, Muay Thai, K1 Rules and much more.
An extraordinary opportunity to get closer to classic and innovative sports, under the guidance of qualified instructors and in a festive and inclusive atmosphere.
The event, sponsored by important institutional and sports organizations, aims to introduce the little ones to the world of sport in a healthy, inclusive and fun way.
Among the sponsors: Campania Region, Municipality of Naples, Metropolitan City of Naples, CONI Campania, Sport e Salute, CIP Campania, Ente Italiano Sport Inclusivi, ASL Napoli 1, numerous sports federations with their Campania committees FIPE, FITA, FEDERKOMBAT, FIDAL, FIDESM and also the Cannavaro Ferrara Foundation, the sports promotion bodies Opes and Libertas, Underforty Women Breast Care, Baskin, and many local associations such as the Ass. teniamoci per mano APS.
The words of Vincenzo Ferrara – Cannavaro Ferrara Foundation
“We are proud to support the Sport Kids Festival because we strongly believe in the power of sport as a tool for personal and social growth. Sport teaches young people to believe in themselves, to respect the rules, to work in a team and not to give up in the face of difficulties. Investing in sport for the little ones means investing in their future, in their physical and mental health, but also in building a more cohesive, inclusive and responsible society.”
The contribution of Underforty Women Breast Care
“Underforty will be there to offer free ultrasound-guided breast exams to mothers present, reminding them that taking care of themselves is the first step to taking care of others,” said Luca Fiorito, representing the Association. “A concrete opportunity to raise awareness of prevention even while children play sports.”
A special thanks
Fabio Caiazzo, member of the Board of Directors of Sport e Salute SpA, wanted to express his enthusiasm for the initiative:
“The Lungomare di via Caracciolo will be transformed into a huge outdoor gym on Saturday 17 May! Sport Kids Festival is a hymn to well-being, integration, socialization but above all to friendship. Sport is first of all meeting, getting to know each other. See you on Saturday on this sports stage with many Associations.
I would like to thank the Administration of the Municipality of Naples, the company Sport e Salute – Regione Campania, the many partners who contributed to the success of the event, but above all two visionary women: Rossella and Veronica, the driving force behind this great project!”
THANKS TO THE COMPANIES THAT BELIEVED IN SPORT KIDS FESTIVAL
A heartfelt thanks also goes to the companies that enthusiastically believed in this project and that on Saturday 17 May will be present in the square to give away gadgets and gifts to the young festival-goers.
Kaze Club, Decathlon, Acqua Santo Stefano and Mondo Convenienza have decided to actively support the event, contributing with their presence to make the experience of all participants even more engaging and rich.
Marco Gisolfi, head of Kaze Club, commented:
“As a company based in our wonderful territory, we could not avoid accompanying the Sport Kids Festival with our products. It is an event that, in addition to involving a target that is commercially important for us, is an expression of social aggregation and inclusion, promotion of physical activities as a healthy lifestyle, dissemination of the healthy values of sport and valorization of the territory. All values that fully embrace our corporate mission.”

It's great to see how sports can bring families and kids together. We hope that events like this can continue to be organized in the future, to give young people opportunities to practice physical activity and socialize.
