The mayor of Pozzuoli, Luigi Manzoni, has launched an appeal to the public: "A major seismic swarm is underway. I urge everyone to remain calm and remain indoors.

Manzoni also ordered the temporary suspension of the ZTLs to facilitate the flow of traffic and allow safe travel. In Pozzuoli an uninhabited building collapsed and the Monte Gauro ridge collapsed.
After the main shock, many schools in the Phlegraean municipalities and in Naples evacuated their students according to safety protocols. At the Madonna Assunta nursery and primary school, in via Napoli, the children were accompanied to the outdoor gardens to wait for their parents. No critical issues were reported.

La shock strongest recorded at 12:07 in the port of Pozzuoli. According to preliminary data from the Vesuvius Observatory, it is an earthquake of magnitude 4.4. Overall, eight earthquakes have been detected so far, seven of which are greater than magnitude 1.0 and three above the value 2.0.
Monitoring of the area continues constantly and the situation remains under careful control by the authorities.
Mayor Manzoni was right to ask for calm but I don't understand why the schools were evacuated so quickly. Maybe it wasn't necessary. I hope the situation returns to normal as soon as possible for everyone.
