Naples – Three years after its last visit, the Italian Navy training ship Amerigo Vespucci arrives again in Naples for the 13th stage of his Mediterranean Tour.
From May 10 to 13, the Campania capital will welcome the famous vessel with a rich calendar of events at the Maritime Station – Molo Beverello, home of the “IN Italia” Village.
Numerous institutional authorities are expected at the event, including the Minister of Agriculture Francesco Lollobrigida, the Minister for Disabilities Alessandra Locatelli, the Undersecretary of Defense Matteo Perego di Cremnago, the Mayor of Naples Gaetano Manfredi and the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Navy Giuseppe Berutti Bergotto. Also on the calendar is the arrival of the Giro d'Italia, the extraordinary opening of the set of the TV series Mare Fuori with the presence of the actors, and a talk with the artist Jago, who will exhibit his sculpture “La David”.
There is also an activity for the little ones: the “Generazione Vespucci” project will propose the musical tale Aurora and the enchanted ship, with the narration of Veronica Maya. Finally, there will be space for conferences, thematic insights and curiosities, such as the exhibition of the historic FIAT 1500 of Rai.
At the end of the Neapolitan leg, the Vespucci will set sail for Cagliari, paying homage to the Gulf of Naples with spectacular passages in front of Sorrento, Castellammare di Stabia and Amalfi.
