A brutal mugging of an eighty-three-year-old woman has led to the denunciation at liberty of a 38-year-old, seriously suspected of aggravated improper robbery and personal injury.

The episode, which occurred yesterday in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, saw the victim not only deprived of her bag, but also violently knocked off balance and made to fall to the ground, so much so that she needed to be admitted to the Maresca hospital.
The reconstruction: cameras and compromising clothing
The agents of the police station Greek's tower, who intervened promptly, began a meticulous manhunt. Thanks to the images from the city's video surveillance system and those of some private commercial activities, it was possible to reconstruct the dynamics and identify the alleged attacker.
The man, actively sought, was tracked down in II Vico Agostinella and found in possession of the same clothing worn during the crime: a jacket with a large writing on the back, the helmet and the shoes attributable to the video footage.
The victim and the consequences of the assault
The eighty-three-year-old woman, in addition to the psychological shock, suffered physical trauma that required her to be taken to the hospital. The episode shook the community, rekindling the debate on the safety of the elderly in urban areas.
The 38-year-old, already known to the police, was reported for aggravated improper robbery (for the use of violence and the vulnerability of the victim) and personal injury. Despite the return of the stolen goods, the case will now be examined by the judiciary.
