A young life cut short at dawn yesterday in Sant Antoni, a tourist resort on the island of Ibiza, Spain. An Italian boy of only 20 years old died inside a nightclub for reasons still being ascertained.
According to initial reports from the Spanish Guardia Civil, the young man suddenly felt unwell. Immediately treated by medical personnel present in the premises, his condition rapidly worsened, requiring the intervention of an ambulance. Despite attempts to resuscitate the boy by paramedics, there was nothing that could be done.
Local Spanish media reported that the Guardia Civil has launched an investigation to shed full light on the circumstances that led to the death. Among the hypotheses being examined by investigators is that of possible drug use, although the precise cause of death can only be established by the results of the autopsy ordered by the competent authorities.
