The Carabinieri operations center in Mugnano promptly coordinated the search, deploying several patrols, including the Mugnano station radio unit, the Marano Mobile Radio Unit, and the Giugliano Mobile Radio Unit, which arrived to assist.
Thanks to the precise information provided by the witness, the police were able to track down the 37-year-old at his home in the nearby municipality of Giugliano in Campania. Inside the apartment, the Carabinieri found both the stolen goods, consisting of cash, and the rifle used in the robbery.
Faced with the evidence, Pietro De Rosa was immediately arrested and charged with robbery. He was subsequently taken to a holding cell pending the judicial authorities' decision.
