Villaricca – It was a busy night in Villaricca , where Carabinieri officers from the Mugnano di Napoli station arrested 37-year-old Pietro De Rosa, believed to be responsible for an armed robbery committed at a bar located at number 123, Corso Europa.

According to the reconstruction by the investigators, the man, armed with a rifle, broke into the premises, threatening the staff and stealing the money present in the cash register. Immediately after the robbery, the 37-year-old fled.

His criminal action did not stop there. During the frantic sequence of events, De Rosa also attempted to rob a motorist of his car. Fortunately, the attempt was unsuccessful.

A crucial element in his capture was the courage and promptness of a witness who witnessed the robbery. The latter, remaining calm, followed the robber from a distance and immediately alerted the Carabinieri.

The operations center of the Carabinieri of Mugnano promptly coordinated the searches, using several patrols, including the radio car of the Mugnano station, the Radiomobile Nucleus of Marano and that of Giugliano, which arrived in support.

Thanks to the precise indications provided by the witness, the military were able to track down the 37-year-old at his home located in the nearby municipality of Giugliano in Campania. Inside the apartment, the Carabinieri found both the stolen goods, consisting of cash, and the rifle used to commit the robbery.

This is a very sad story, which makes you think about the insecurity that exists today. I don't understand how a person can get to do this, and I hope that there is more security for all of us.
