Vincenzo Salemme has given in to the public's pleas and is doubling the dates of his new show in Caserta, transforming the Un'Estate da Belvedere festival into an unmissable event that mixes loud laughter with unexpected reflections. The plot that unleashes chaos
The comedy “Ogni promessa è debito”, written and directed by Salemme, intertwines wild humor with profound themes, staging the classic Italian pasticcio. At the center is Benedetto Croce, a middle-aged pizza chef from Bacoli, a widower and father of two, who during an adventure at sea makes a desperate vow to Saint Anna to save himself. Miraculously saved, he finds himself inundated with insatiable requests from the parish priest, the mayor and his family, all ready to exploit his promise in a whirlwind of religious fanaticism, opportunism and family dynamics bordering on the ridiculous. The story culminates in a twist that borders on the surreal, exploring the shaky boundary between genuine faith and cynical exploitation.

This event is part of the Un'Estate da Belvedere program, which this year expands between the Belvedere di San Leucio and the space in front of the Royal Palace of Caserta, both UNESCO sites.
