Afragola – Martina Carbonaro, the 14-year-old killed last May in Afragola by her ex-boyfriend Alessio Tucci, reportedly experienced "long minutes of agony" after being hit on the head with a rock before being buried under debris in an abandoned farmhouse.
This is what emerges from the precautionary custody order issued by the Court of North Naples, which yesterday confirmed the prison sentence for the 19-year-old, deemed "dangerous" and incapable of controlling his impulses.
A horror story of cruelty and lies
According to the medical-legal report cited by investigating judge Stefania Amodeo, the dynamics would be different from the version provided by Tucci, who had claimed to have covered the body only after death.
The agony: Martina remained conscious for several minutes after the head trauma.

The attempted concealment: Tucci then hid the body under debris, changing his blood-stained clothes.
The double life: Although he participated in the search, the boy had already lied to the victim's parents.
Alessio Tucci's profile: "An alarming personality."
In the order, the judge paints a chilling portrait of the healthier skin "Atrocity" in the murder; "Calmness" and "ease" in concealing evidence; and "Inability to control impulses." And again: "There is a real risk of repetition," the investigating judge wrote, justifying the arrest.
The charge: voluntary homicide with cruelty. The North Naples prosecutor's office, led by Anna Maria Lucchetta, hypothesizes a homicide aggravated by the insensitivity and lucidity demonstrated: Tucci allegedly planned to hide the body and methodically disposed of the evidence.
The community is shocked by the crime: Martina, a student beloved by her classmates, has become the symbol of youth femicide. Many are calling for justice, while prosecutors are working to reconstruct the girl's last day.
Next step: the final autopsy, expected next week, could confirm the length of his agony. Meanwhile, Tucci will remain in the Naples prison.

It is truly sad to hear of these things happening, especially to a young woman like Martina. Justice must take its course, but we hope that the community can overcome this pain and unite forces.
