Naples – An oasis of sea, sun and free services. The municipal beach of Bagnoli reopens today, one of the most anticipated public spaces of the Neapolitan summer. Free access, deckchairs and umbrellas at no cost, showers, toilets, shaded pergolas and even water nebulizers to cool off: all available to citizens, without having to spend a single euro.
An initiative that represents an important sign of attention to collective well-being and inclusiveness, made possible thanks to the commitment of the Municipality of Naples. The structure is intended for heliotherapy and also offers free sports activities: from beach volleyball to bowls to beach rugby, thanks to the equipment donated in 2023 by the Giffas association.
Making the beach even more special are the chairs donated by the director Paolo Sorrentino, concrete testimony of a bond between culture and territory. The beach will be open every day from 9 to 18 and will be managed by the Servizio Tutela Mare.
Access through the Fortuna and Arenile beaches
Due to work in progress in an adjacent condominium, access this year will be through the nearby Fortuna and Arenile beaches. "The Administration's commitment to equip the beaches free of concessions with equipment useful to citizens and tourists who can use them free of charge continues," declared the Councilor for the Sea, Francesco Cosenza.
A project that enhances the coastline and restores dignity and beauty to the Phlegraean coast, offering a concrete and accessible alternative to the expensive beach.

It's beautiful to see how the Municipality has implemented initiatives that help people enjoy the sea without spending a lot of money, but I hope that there are enough deck chairs for everyone and not just a few.
