Caivano – Domestic violence, yet another sad story that we are forced to tell every day: a 43-year-old pizza chef with a criminal record was arrested yesterday by the Carabinieri of Caivano for attacking his 46-year-old wife and her 16-year-old disabled daughter.
The incident occurred in a car on the road between Crispano and Caivano, where a family argument degenerated into violence, with the man hitting the two women with fists and elbows in the face.
The promptness of the 16-year-old was decisive: despite her disability, she sent her GPS location in real time via a chat with friends on a messaging app, asking for help.
The girl sent the car's location in real time
The girl had just left them after celebrating one of their friends' birthdays. The friends immediately alerted 112. The Carabinieri operations center located the car, and a patrol car arrested the man, who was then transferred to Poggioreale prison. The victims, taken to the hospital, sustained injuries that healed in 10 and 7 days.
Technology has proven crucial in stopping the violence, but the bitterness of a tragedy that unfolded in the privacy of a car remains, broken by the courage of a young woman who saved herself and her mother.

This story is really sad and makes you think about how important technology is in helping people in situations of violence. I hope these episodes end soon and that there is more awareness.
