“pazzignana”, who made self-accusatory statements
A glimpse of the Camorra war of the early 116s between Ponticelli and the Villa district is what emerges from reading the XNUMX pages of the precautionary order. There is also something to say about the murders of Mario Volpicelli and Giovanni Sarno Giovanni, according to the statements
the same weapon was used by some collaborators of justice: a revolver.
“I want to accuse myself here . . of the murder of Gennaro Volpicelli which occurred
the same day my brother Antonio died." These are the self-accusatory statements made in June 2023 by Michele Minichini “Tiger”. And to confirm this testimony there are the statements of the repentant Thomas Schisa: “Michele Minichini's mother pushed Michele to commit the murder of Volpicelli because she told Michele that they were committing many murders for Rinaldi Ciro and he had to commit a murder for them too, as revenge”.
Murder of Mario Volpicelli January 29, 2013
Michele Minichini, Vincenza Maione and Giulio Ceglie, accused of the murder of Mario Volpicelli, which occurred on January 30, 2016 in Ponticelli. The three, together with Luisa De Stefano and Antonio Rivieccio, allegedly acted to avenge the killing of Antonio Minichini, Michele's brother, murdered by a hitman from the De Micco clan.
According to the investigation, Minichini and Maione, with De Stefano, planned the ambush. Minichini, accompanied by De Stefano and Ceglie, identified the victim days before in a shop on Via Bartolo Longo. Maione provided Minichini and Rivieccio with a .357 Magnum pistol, delivered by Ceglie.
On the day of the murder, Ceglie reported Volpicelli's position, followed on a motorbike, while Maione alerted the hitmen with a phone call. Minichini and Rivieccio, on a Honda SH 300, reached Volpicelli in via Malaparte, where Minichini fired seven shots, fatally wounding him. After the crime, the two burned gloves and neck warmers and cleaned the motorbike.
The three were charged with mafia-style aggravated murder, conspiracy to commit crime and illegal possession of weapons.
Murder of Giovanni Sarno, brother of collaborators of justice
There are six accused of the murder of Giovanni Sarno which occurred on the night between 5 and 6 March 2016. They are Michele Minichini, Vincenza Maione, Ciro Contini, Gabriella Onesto, Mariarca Boccia and Giulio Ceglie considered responsible, together with Luisa De Stefano, for the murder of Giovanni Sarno, killed by gunshots in the heart of the Rione De Gasperi, in Ponticelli.
According to the prosecution, the crime – aggravated by the mafia method – would have matured as a transversal revenge: Giovanni Sarno was in fact the brother of the collaborators of justice who, during their statements, had indicated Roberto Schisa, De Stefano's husband, as the author of the murder of his brother Giuseppe Schisa.
The investigators reconstruct the dynamics of the crime as follows: Michele Minichini, Giulio Ceglie and Ciro Contini went by car to the victim's home, a "basso" in via De Meis 120. At that point, it was Contini who broke into the apartment and fired two shots - one to the side and one to the head - which killed Giovanni Sarno instantly. The weapons used, according to ballistics reports, were compatible with a .357 Magnum/.38 caliber or a 9×21.
The role of the women involved was also crucial, according to the investigators' reconstruction. Mariarca Boccia, in the days before the crime, allegedly provided crucial information on the fact that the door of the victim's home was usually open. On the day of the murder, she allegedly then signaled the killers the best time to act, making sure there were no witnesses in the area. At the time of the ambush, Boccia was outside the home with Vincenza Maione, waiting for the fatal shots to be fired.
Salvatore D'Orsi Murder March 2016
Michele Minichini and Giuseppe Prisco are accused of this murder, which took place on March 12, 2018 in Ponticelli. The two, in collaboration with Luisa De Stefano, allegedly killed D'Orsi, believed to be close to the De Micco clan, by shooting him three times (one to the back of the head and two to the chest) while he was at the entrance to his building.
According to the investigations, Minichini, together with De Stefano, planned the murder to eliminate D'Orsi, who sold drugs for the De Micco clan and had followed him several times. Minichini and Prisco carried out the ambush, fatally shooting the victim. The two are accused of homicide aggravated by mafia methods, complicity in crime and illegal possession of weapons.
