The Campania Region's Civil Protection Department has extended the heatwave warning until 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 3, in light of current and forecast weather conditions.
The Regional Functional Center reports that in the next few days temperatures will be 6-7°C higher than the seasonal average, with peaks that, especially along the coastal strip, will be aggravated by high humidity, destined to exceed 60-70% in the evening and night hours.
To worsen the perception of the hot The poor ventilation expected starting this afternoon will also contribute, with a consequent increase in physical discomfort, especially for the most vulnerable sections of the population.
Authorities recommend avoiding direct exposure to the sun during the hottest hours of the day, limiting outdoor activities and car travel, and staying in well-ventilated environments. It is essential to drink water frequently to prevent dehydration and pay particular attention to the elderly, children, heart patients and frail people, as well as pets.
Finally, the Civil Protection invites the Municipalities and local authorities to keep active the assistance and monitoring procedures for the weaker groups, ensuring correct information to the citizens.

Reading the article about the heat I am a bit worried about the situation, especially for the elderly who could have problems. They should be more careful with these high temperatures and high humidity is a real problem.
