The magnitude, as reported by theIngv, was 4.6, the highest recorded in the last 40 years and is on par with the one that occurred on the night of March 13. The earthquake - with its epicenter in the Campi Flegrei area 5 km south of Pozzuoli, near Bacoli - was located at a depth of 5 kilometers.
La shock it was clearly felt not only in the Phlegraean municipalities but in almost the entire city of Naples. Many citizens poured into the streets.
According to initial information, the shock was also felt by residents of Giugliano, Marano, Villaricca, San Giorgio a Cremano, Frattamaggiore and municipalities in the Neapolitan hinterland. The civil protection and municipal administrations immediately started working.
