A crucial intervention for the water safety of the Sorrento Peninsula and the island of Capri starts from Palombara, in the heart of Castellammare di Stabia. Gori has started the work for the removal and replacement of a section of the DN 600 supply pipeline, after a series of monitorings that highlighted the need to act urgently. The affected section, currently above ground, will be completely buried with a new pipe approximately 26 meters long. The objective is clear: to guarantee continuity, safety and reliability of the service in an extremely delicate area from a hydrogeological and tourist point of view.
To allow the operations, however, it will be necessary to suspend the water service from 14:00 pm on June 11th to 13:00 pm the following day, involving large areas of Vico Equense, Meta, Piano di Sorrento, Sant'Agnello, Sorrento, Massa Lubrense and some streets of Capri. A heavy but inevitable measure, which is accompanied by a heartfelt appeal to the citizens: stock up on water for essential needs and limit waste as much as possible, so as to favor an equitable distribution of reserves.
In the meantime, Gori has implemented an extraordinary plan that includes water trucks, fountains and mobile tanks, while specific maneuvers are already underway on the network to optimize the restoration of the service. This is an operation that is part of the broader strategy for the protection of water resources and that continues the work already started in recent months to ensure a more modern, resilient and efficient network.

L’articolo spiega bene la situazione ma ci sono troppe informazioni tecniche che rendono difficile comprendere le conseguenze per i cittadini. Spero che le autorità informino meglio su come comportarsi durante il periodo di sospensione dell’acqua.
