Casavatore – While waiting for the proclamation of the elected officials by the territorial commission that should crystallize the city council, in record time the mayor has identified the councilors who will be part of the new government.
The new mayor Celaj, after his success in the last municipal elections and after a series of institutional meetings, has finally resolved the reservation and yesterday appointed his government team with his own decree.
A council that therefore starts between confirmations of the last mandate and new entries. For the Democratic Party, Dr. Elsa Picaro (former councilor of the Maglione council) will hold the position of deputy mayor with responsibility for Public education and school buildings, Culture, Sports and sports buildings.
Also joining the council from the PD is the very young secretary of the party, Eng. Gianluca Annunziata, with responsibility for local police, roads, transport, civil protection, personnel and technological innovation.
For the Spinuso list, instead, Alì Rashed Mohmoud Rashid will take over with responsibility for trade, productive activities and cultural mediation. For the Fabrizio Celaj Mayor list, the lawyer Vincenza Esposito will be in the council with responsibility for the Budget, Taxes, Social and Youth Policies, Litigation and Equal Opportunities.
In the executive for the Casavatore Viva list, Giovanni Di Tuoro, a law graduate, will be councilor with responsibility for the Environment, greenery and urban decorum. “I am very satisfied and proud of our council – commented the mayor Fabrizio Celaj – and I thank the new councilors for their great willingness to dialogue and debate.
As well as having put their skills and sensibilities into play to create a group as well equipped as possible to face the many challenges that we will face in the next five years.
The work will be big, but I am sure I can face it with the most suitable people, for skills and personal abilities together with the entire city council. This will allow us to be operational immediately in the important choices that the contingent period will submit to us: from projects related to the Pnrr, Environment, municipal machine and social policies ".

I feel like the new council has a lot of young people but I'm not sure if they have the right experience to handle the problems that are there. It will be interesting to see how they work together and what impact they will have on the community.
It is true, there are many new people and I hope they can bring fresh ideas. But without practical experience it is difficult to deal with complex situations. We have to wait and see how they behave.
