Castellammare – The train station parking lot is in chaos with blocked gates and out-of-order automatic pay stations. The situation, already reported in recent weeks, has worsened to the point of generating public order problems and disruption to urban traffic, especially during rush hour.
The mayor Luigi denounced it Nearness, which sent a new official communication to the company that manages the rest area, asking for immediate intervention.
“Already last May 24th – Vicinanza recalled – we had reported with a PEC a series of disservices that were causing serious criticalities, with long queues of cars both entering and exiting. But after a few days, the situation has actually worsened”.
According to the Municipality, on Thursday evening only one of the three access gates was working, while at the exit one out of two was working. As if that were not enough, the automatic cashier only accepts banknotes, rejecting coins and cards, with further complications for users.
“Unacceptable conditions,” the mayor stressed, “that exasperate drivers and congest city traffic, especially on weekends. I have urged the managers to urgently restore the service and ensure adequate assistance to users.”
The city administration announces that it will closely monitor the developments of the matter, ready to take further action if the situation is not resolved soon.
