I Carabinieri of the Cercola Tenenza have completed an important operation against the laundering of stolen cars, executing two precautionary orders issued by the GIP of the Court of Nola at the request of the Prosecutor's Office.

The two suspects, both residents of Naples, were subjected, respectively, to house arrest and prison custody. They are seriously suspected of aiding and abetting money laundering, a crime committed in Cercola in January 2025.
The Investigations: From Stolen Weapons to a Factory of False Documents
The investigation began in January 2025 with the arrest of a 39-year-old from Cercola, who is still in prison.
The man was found in possession of a veritable arsenal of car crime: a pistol with a scratched serial number and bullets, stolen cars, a jammer (signal jamming device), a professional printer for reproducing vehicle registration documents, Italian and foreign license plates, and a kit for punching and counterfeiting chassis, as well as numerous materials for assembling and disassembling car parts.
The subsequent investigations, conducted by the Carabinieri of Cercola and coordinated by the Nola Prosecutor's Office, have already allowed the identification of a first accomplice in April 2025, to which the two suspects today are now added. The latter are considered responsible, on multiple occasions, for having altered the identification data of stolen high-powered cars, to then send them for re-registration.
Key images from video surveillance
A crucial element for the investigation was the extrapolation of the footage from the internal video surveillance system of a parking area. This area had been used by the suspects as a real operational base for the assembly and disassembly of stolen cars, providing decisive evidence to the investigators.

The article talks about a major operation by the Carabinieri, but there are still many questions about how they managed to find these people. I hope that the investigation continues and that justice is done for the victims.
