Caserta – A major accident paralyzed the Nola-Villa Literno median axis yesterday evening, at the height of the Carinaro exit. Eight cars were involved in a collision that left several young people injured, three of whom are in serious condition.
The accident scenario and rescue efforts
After the impact, the cars stopped in the center of the roadway, creating a scene of great chaos and completely blocking traffic. The Aversa Fire Department responded immediately to the scene.
Their intervention was crucial in freeing three boys, aged between 25 and 30, who remained trapped in the twisted sheet metal of the cars.
The three young people, extracted with difficulty from the vehicles, were rushed to the hospital with a red code, indicative of the seriousness of their conditions.
Traffic disruption for hours
The accident caused significant traffic disruption, with the highway completely blocked for several hours. Law enforcement worked to manage traffic flow and allow for rescue operations and the removal of the vehicles involved.
The exact causes of the crash are still being examined by the competent authorities, who will have to reconstruct the dynamics of the incident.
