In the heart of Casapesenna, on the historic area once occupied by Michele Zagaria's bunker, the Summer School UCSI lights up the summer with an event of strong civil impact: the director Marco Risi, author of the cult movie Fortapasc, will be the protagonist of an evening event dedicated to the memory of Giancarlo Siani, 40 years after his sacrifice.
Program of the evening
19:00 – Introductory debate
Moderated by Luigi Ferraiuolo, director of the UCSI Summer School, the debate will see:
- Marco Risi, director of Fortapàsc
- Giovanna Ceppaluni, President of the Court of Torre Annunziata
- Paolo Siani, brother of Giancarlo
- Peter Perone, author of the volume dedicated to the young chronicler
An intense talk on the courage of investigative journalism and the moral legacy of Siani, whose article of June 10, 1985 unleashed the ire of the Camorra.
21pm – Outdoor screening of Fortapasc
As the sun sets, the poignant notes of the soundtrack and the cult scenes of the film evoke the Naples of the 80s, between “enemy lands” and courageous editorial offices.
The book that tells the parallel investigation
Peter Perone – journalist of The morning for over 40 years – retraces eight years of silence and cover-ups after the Siani murder (September 23, 1985). Thanks to the arrival in the editorial office of Sergio Zavoli and Paolo Graldi, a new investigation begins: from the disappearance of a crucial manuscript to the hope – never accepted – of an escort for the young reporter. An essential contribution to civic memory, published by St. Paul Editions.
