Venice – Spaghetti alla Nerano, traditional desserts from Campania and scents of Southern Italy in the menu of the fairytale wedding between Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez. For the wedding reception in the exclusive setting of Venice, the founder of Amazon and the American journalist chose a culinary journey in the heart of Campania.

According to Corriere della Sera, the starred chef Fabrizio Mellino, owner of the Quattro Passi restaurant in Nerano , in the municipality of Massa Lubrense, famous for its refined interpretation of Mediterranean tradition. Among the main courses, spaghetti alla Nerano could not be missed, with fried courgettes and provolone del Monaco: a symbolic dish of the coast that the Mellino family has preserved for generations.

And for dessert? The task was entrusted to another excellence from Campania: the master pastry chef Sal De Riso, directly from Minori, who created a thousand portions of desserts for the buffet: lemon, ricotta and pear delights, mignon pastries and single portions, in a triumph of colors and flavors typical of the Amalfi Coast.

The wedding cake, on the other hand, bears an international signature: that of the famous French pastry chef Cédric Grolet, a Parisian pastry artist known for his spectacular fruit-inspired creations, made with almost sculptural precision.

A stellar wedding, not only for the guest list – over 200, including VIPs, entrepreneurs and celebrities – but also for a menu that celebrates Italian tradition and in particular that of Campania, with a touch of international elite.

Between tradition and innovation, Bezos and Sanchez's gastronomic choice shows that true Italian excellence is irresistible even for the big names of the global jet set. A marriage that, at least at the table, tastes like home.

The article about Bezos and Sanchez's wedding is interesting, but I don't know if spaghetti alla Nerano is really appropriate for such a ceremony. Also, the choice of desserts seems a bit too complicated for such an event. It would be nice to see simpler dishes.
