Casoria – The 22-year-old, who is hospitalized in serious conditions, is being investigated for road homicide. He was involved in the violent collision between two scooters on the night between Thursday and Friday in Casoria, which had a dramatic outcome: one dead and one seriously injured.
The victim, Raffaele Maddaluno, 34, originally from Mugnano, died instantly due to the serious trauma he suffered. The other person involved, Carmine Invigorito, 22, from Casoria, is hospitalized in a reserved prognosis in the Intensive Care Unit of the Ospedale del Mare, with a serious clinical picture, in particular for a serious compound fracture of the right femur.
The dynamics of the accident and the first anomalies detected
The impact between the two Honda SH 300 scooters occurred around 3:30 a.m. on via Guglielmo Marconi, a central two-way street in Casoria. The accident did not involve other vehicles, but its dynamics remain uncertain.
I Carabinieri of Casoria, who intervened on site for the surveys, found that Raffaele Maddaluno was not wearing a protective helmet. Further investigations revealed that the 34-year-old was driving without a license and without insurance.
The two vehicles were seized. Carmine Invigorito was subjected to the usual toxicological tests, while the body of Raphael Maddaloni is at the disposal of the judicial authorities, who have already ordered the autopsy.
The investigations, conducted by the military, do not exclude any hypothesis, although a strong probability of high speed of the motorcycles has emerged. We await confirmation from a more in-depth analysis and from the possible acquisition of images from the video surveillance cameras in the area.
