Naples - The Regional Council of Campania today announced the appointments of new General Directors for fifteen of the region's local health authorities and hospital companies, marking a significant step in the renewal of healthcare management in Campania.
The appointments for the University Hospital Companies will be submitted to the Rectors of the respective Universities for their consensus opinion. Furthermore, following the appointment of Gubitosa to the ASL Napoli 1 Centro, the General Directorate for Health Protection will start the procedures to select the new General Director of the Sant'Anna and San Sebastiano Hospital Company of Caserta.
The choices of the Council, chaired by Vincenzo De Luca, aim to strengthen the management of the regional health system, with the objective of improving the efficiency and quality of services offered to the citizens of Campania.
The selection criteria for the appointment of the General Directors of the Asl and of the Hospital Companies in Campania are based on national and regional regulations, in particular Legislative Decree 30 December 1992, n. 502 and Legislative Decree 4 August 2016, n. 171, as amended, which regulate access to managerial positions in the National Health Service (SSN).
