Naples returns to tell its story on the big screen with the power of myth, faith and football. On Saturday 21 June, at the Cineteatro La Perla, it debuts in preview “Maradona, San Gennaro and the Strike of Miracles”, the documentary film by Giulio Gargia that will kick off the twentieth edition of the Tam Tam Digifest, this year entirely dedicated to comics and animated films.
The film is an ironic and poetic vision of the city, set in the year of Napoli's third championship, between the blue glory and the cultural transformations of an entire community. The protagonists are two immortal icons: San Gennaro, played by Patrizio Rispo, and Diego Armando Maradona, played by Zap Mangusta. Together, they give life to an imaginary "derby of the soul", a surreal confrontation between those who protect the city from the sky and those who took it to heaven with a ball.
Produced by Tam Tam in collaboration with Millennium Cinematografica and Michelangelo Film, the docufilm intertwines fiction, animation and real testimonies. Among the contributions stand out those of Roberto Saviano, Conchita Sannino, the street artist Salvatore Iodice, the anthropologist Marino Niola and Don Luigi Calemme, witnesses of an urban identity that changes but does not forget.
“Maradona, San Gennaro and the strike of miracles” is more than a film: it is the story of a Naples that no longer asks for miracles, but that wins, dreams and resists with the strength of its people. Among the streets of Forcella, the shepherds of San Gregorio Armeno and the murals of Largo Maradona, a secular faith is celebrated that unites the field and the sky, memory and future. A work that photographs a city that is alive, proud, finally aware that it can make it even without miracles.

The article is very interesting but I noticed that there are many things that are not clear. The film seems good, but I do not know if the story will be as they say. I would like to see how the icons are represented.
