An award for those who act away from the spotlight
The Oplontis Award, now in its first edition, aims to promote personalities, both well-known and lesser-known, who contribute concretely to the well-being of the community, the defense of rights and the promotion of the territory. The initiative is promoted by the Municipality with the support of the Campania Region, which has provided specific funding through the regional budget law.
A national event
Thanks to the work of the Tourism Councilor, Alfonso Ascione, and the city councilor Emanuela Cirillo, the project aims to become a cultural event of national importance, capable of highlighting the local excellence and the historical heritage of Torre Annunziata.
The words of Marisa Laurito

A program full of events
The event will be divided into a series of events that will culminate with the final event and the award ceremony. The detailed program is still being defined and will be presented in the coming weeks during an official press conference.
The support of the municipal administration
“Marisa Laurito perfectly embodies the energy, vitality and tradition of Torre Annunziata in a national perspective”, declared the mayor Corrado Cuccurullo and the councilor Ascione. “She is a great artist, a central figure in the history of Italian theater, television and cinema.
